1965 MUSTANG FASTBACK
This
Mustang was designed and built by a NASA engineer who also owned a 1966 Shelby
GT 350. It was designed with one purpose in mind – TO GO FAST! He also wanted it
to look like a car that did not have much money or effort put into it. That is
the reason for the black primer paint. He wanted it to be a “sleeper”. After it
raced at numerous race tracks in
Texas
and
Oklahoma,
it became known as that “Black SOB”! Everyone knew that when this car showed up
it was going to be one of the top contenders at the track. It has had a great
deal of money, effort and expertise put into it to make it
fast. It is set up in such a way
that you can drive it on the street and run premium pump gasoline in it and it
is happy as can be. So, if you were not interested in doing any club racing or
vintage racing with it, you could just leave it as it is now and drive it on the
street and have a great deal of fun with it. I was trying to decide whether to
paint the car and doing some detailing on it like we normally do, or sell it
like it is for far less money and do what you want with it. It has an excellent
rust free body and was owned by the person we purchased the car form for over 20
years. I will try to list all the special and extra features that this car has.
But, I am sure I will leave out numerous features.
